How to build a healthy balanced salad

When I think of summery foods, salads are definitely on top of my list 🌅 . This is a helpful guide to encourage you to get creative with your salads and load them up with important nutrients ❕🙊 . 1. Start by adding vegetables, such as green leafy veg (lettuce, spinach, kale) 🥒🥦 as these are full of important vitamins and minerals and provide fibre helping you to stay fuller for longer. . 2. Add complex carbohydrates, like sweet 🥔 as they can provide energy over a long period of time 🏃🏼‍♀️ . 3. Add a source of protein such as feta 🧀 or beetroot falafels as these can help build and repair muscle tissue 💪🏼 . 4. Finally, add healthy fats 🥑 like chia seed or tahini sauce as these can act as a source of energy, help us feel fuller for longer and are vital for many bodily functions.
